Upcoming Award Deadlines:

Introducing the ACS POLY – PMSE Peer Award

Do you know a fellow graduate student that you think is just exceptional? Want to nominate them for an award? The ACS POLY and PMSE divisions are sponsoring peer-nominated $250 awards for two awesome graduate students. We are encouraging graduate students studying polymer science or a related field to nominate a peer that you feel has gone above and beyond in the lab and their community! To nominate a peer, post a 30 second (or shorter!) video on Twitter telling us why they deserve this recognition. Be as creative as you like with your video! Nominees should be outstanding in one or more areas, such as:

1.      Impactful Research
2.      Overcoming Barriers and Challenges
3.      Embraces Diversity & Inclusion
4.      Community Building
5.      Teaching and Mentorship
6.      Outreach

To enter, follow and tag @ACSPOLY and @ACSPMSE and use hashtags #POLYfam and #PMSEfam on Twitter. By submitting, you give us permission to repost your video on Twitter and other platforms such as our website or LinkedIn. You may submit nominations for as many peers as you like. Nominators will receive the classic POLY pin as thanks! Submissions open on February 8 and close on February 14th at 11:59 PM EST. Two winners will be announced on Friday the 19th at 12:00 PM EST and all nominees will receive a small gift from POLY and PMSE.

Please reach out to myself or Dan with any questions. We’re here to support you and looking forward to your submissions!

All the best,
Liz and Dan
